HipHop Ball is a combination of street soccer with dancing, acrobatics and music. Through this project we strive to connect the love of sports with the love of music. With the street soccer games that happen so often in and around Berlin, we're creating a casual league where teenagers can play with one another while DJ's or live bands host the games with cool grooves and tunes.
Along with encouraging the youths to play sports, HipHop Ball promotes community engagement and dialogue.
We've already put on several successful tournaments in Berlin and Brandenburg, which were great events for meeting new people, playing sports, partying, breaking down existing social barriers and expanding each participant's horizons.
